Expiry Risks

Dotcom domain is registered for a fixed period of time you or or company paid. Generally it can be anywhere from 1 to 10 years.

Domains must be renewed prior to their expiration date to continue registration.

Many good and expensive DotCom’s in excess of 100,000 have been lost to the Drop Catch market due to failure to renew.

Have expensive or important business DotCom(s)?

May be best to take a long renewal approach?

Example CITY.net was not renewed, ie dropped … sold in bidding auction for 20,000 US.
